Please see a number of Frequently Asked Questions below:

1. Do you provide Goods in Transit Insurance?

Yes, all of our good are covered up to a specified sum, depending on what the items are. Their are exclusions including glass and fragile options.

2. Do you provide a Nextday Delivery Option?

We do, but we will give you a price based on Sameday. Unfortunately we are a small business and whilst it would be great if we could compete with the likes of DHL, UPS and Citylink, we can’t. All items are on given a dedicated vehicle, unless we advise of a return load.

3. Do you accept Credit and/or Debit Cards?

Yes we do, we take all major Credit and Debit cards including American Express, we do charge a fee of 2.5% on Credit Cards, but Debit Cards can be used Free of Charge. We do require additional information if you have never used us before due to fraud prevention.

4. Do you offer Accounts?

Yes we do offer accounts to all Limited companies. We require a credit application to be completed and the first job to be paid upfront. We assess your credit through Creditsafe and this also determines your credit limit. Accounts are either 30 or 60 days depending on status.

5. Can we track our parcels?

Whilst we do not offer a log on service for our customers to track their goods. Some of the vehicles are GPS trackered so that we can see the progress of our drivers.

6. How old is your fleet?

The majority of the Derby Sameday Couriers fleet is no older than 3 years old, with the majority of the vehicles no less than 12 months old. We run a mixture of Renault, Mercedes and Peugeot vehicles. We will be soon publishing a section on our fleet vehicles.

7. Do we get proof of delivery?

We require signatures on all deliveries made, so we will have a record of the signatory on file. Should you want a copy of this, please contact our office for a POF and this can be emailed across.

8. Can we contact the drivers direct?

All of our drivers carry mobile phones, but we are unable to give you the numbers of these as these can be personal numbers. If you require an update of a delivery. Please do not hesitate in contacting the office on 01332 223880.

9. Do you deliver at the weekends?

Yes we do! Although we do charge extra for this service, but we can accommodate any job at any time of day, and on any day!

10. Do you have a minimum charge?

Unfortunately we do, our minimum charge is £25.00 + VAT, this is to cover administration of our work. Give us a call for more information.
