Reliability is key for our sameday courier business, and the vehicles that we currently run have proved themselves over the years.
Our fleet is generally no older than 3 years old, although we did have one of the Peugeot Partners reaching the grand old age of 8 years old before it was retired.
Please see below the vehicles that we currently run on fleet:
Out of all of the small vans we run on our sameday courier fleet, the Volkswagen Caddy is the favourite with our drivers. Offers both comfort, car-like driving and most important for the summer; Air Conditioning. All of these vans are ply-lined with some benefitting from carpeted rear interiors.
The van that all of our drivers fight over. The VW Transporter is the vehicle we run the most of. We have both the SWB and the LWB version as well as the Kombi versions for our Airport Transfer service. These vehicles are ply-lined with some benefitting from carpeted rear interiors and additional LED lighting in the cargo area.
The largest van in our current sameday courier fleet is the VW Crafter. We have these in various lengths with the largest having a 4 metre load length. These vehicles have ply-lined cargo area and additional LED lighting for those darker nights. The crafter van is on-par with the Mercedes Sprinter vans.
As we’re on the edge of the Peak District and have regular runs between Derby/Nottingham and Manchester, we utilise the VW Amaroks on our Rural routes. These come with a truckman top so we are able to take a larger than usual load with a covered rear.
As you can imagine within our business, we have periods of being extremely busy and our fleet of vehicles can be utilised quite quickly. Therefore we have a requirement to use sub-contractors and owner drivers.
Before any of the companies or owner drivers are sent any work, they are fully vetted and insurances are checked to ensure that they are compliant with our strict standards.
